Description
This is a gallbladder, grossly thickened in the central area of the body by tumour, and showing the
common association of gallstones with tumour.
History
This patient had had an 18-year history of symptoms of chronic cholecystitis; pain
became more constant and, on examination, a hard lump was felt in the gallbladder region. The
gallbladder was excised, and the patient survived two years postoperatively.
